As a Bzz Agent, I was recently sent several OFF products to review. OFF is one of those brands that doesn't really need an introduction. Everyone knows what they make (insect repellent,) and everyone knows it's good stuff. These products were no exception. We have A LOT of mosquitoes in our yard, and they've been eating us alive already this year. I'm glad to have some new weapons in the arsenal.
Here are the specifics:
The OFF Clip-On Mosquito Repellent Starter Pack retails for around $9. The refills (2 per package,) cost about $4. You can clip the fan unit on your clothes like a pager (remember pagers?), or set it beside you. Each refill lasts up to twelve hours.
My impression:
This unit is great for solitary outdoor activities. I used it one day while cleaning out the garage, and my husband used it while mowing the yard. We were both amazed to note that neither of us had to swat off a single mosquito! No bites! The fan noise wasn't too intrusive, and I couldn't detect any smell, which is great, because one of the things I dislike about bug spray is the smell. A thumbs up.
The OFF PowerPad Lamp Starter Kit retails for $9.49. The refills (3 pads and 3 candles per package,) retail for $5.49. This lamp looks like a typical candle lantern. It holds a tea light sized candle, and a repellent pad. Each candle/repellent pad last up to four hours. One Lamp should protect an area up to 15x15 feet, or about 15 times as much area as a typical citronella candle. You can also buy a "lantern" kit, instead of the "lamp". It includes a pole to hang the lantern in the yard.
My impression:
This is a great product for group and family activities, like cook outs, camping, swimming, or just playing with the kids in the yard. We used the lamp while working in the yard the other day, and once again, were impressed. No mosquitoes to swat, no bites on the kids, no funky smells, and no need to have a million citronella candles lit. It works. Another thumbs up.
(Be careful with candles around kids. Goes without saying right?)
Bzz Agent sent me some coupons to hand out, so I'm doing a giveaway of sorts. The first three people to leave a comment on this post will receive a coupon for $3 off each of these products. The only thing better than a good product is a good product at a great price, right? Check them out, and let me know what you think.
(Be sure you email me at iluvchrisnlevi(at)aol(dot)com with your address after you comment, so I can get your coupons in the mail ASAP.)
My Disclosure:
I received the two above described free products to review, as well as the coupons to hand out. No cash, additional freebies, firstborn children, or anything else exchanged hands.
