My mom has been hounding me to make her another scarf, and I finally finished it. I'll be giving it to her for her birthday, because you know, nothing says happy August birthday like a giant wool scarf.
I found the 100% wool yarn at the thrift store a while back, and bought a ton of it. It's a bulky thick and thin twist, and was called Scandia. Judging from the wrapper, it looks to be vintage from the 60's or 70's.
Thanks to folks who have dropped by to check me out in the last few days, and even became followers. I'll be making my way around to check out everyone's blogs and say hello soon.
I'm going to take a couple of days off to play catch up around here. The house is a mess, I need to plan some school stuff, and so on and so on. The usual, you know.
Tuesday is my ninth wedding anniversary. C and I are actually going on a date. Without the kids. We haven't done that since I was about 7 months preggo with baby V. (We went to see the Foo Fighters. Awesome.)
Anyway, I'll be back early next week, with a review, a giveaway (sponsored by someone other than myself. lol, ) and hopefully some more crafty show and tell.
Take care everyone, and don't forget to check out my homeschooling goodies giveaway. It ends Tuesday.
Sigh, if only I lived somewhere scarves made sense at all. Not much use for them in Texas (okay, I don't really want to live in cold weather, but they look so cool).
