Anyway, I made some robot cupcakes, which were tasty, but less than skillfully decorated. I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of them before we all plowed into them. At least L is still young enough to be impressed with my attempts.
I printed these cool Wall-E and Eve masks for the kids. They were really excited about them, but didn't really want to wear them.


The cupcake eating somehow deteriorated into this: daddy smashing cupcakes in L's face.


We saw this cool vintage reproduction Robert the Robot recently, and thought it would make a cool gift for our little robot lover.

It's awesome, but as you can see here, L's initial reaction to the moving, speaking robot with flashing lights was sensory overload...

Here you can see that they both look a little skeptical.

L did eventually come around to it.

Robert the Robot came with a cool DVD of vintage footage of the the original Robert being manufactured in the 50's, as well as other vintage toy commercials and so on. We all enjoyed it, and then we watched Wall-E.
Any excuse for a party is a good one, right?
