Vintage Embroidery Giveaway

I've been sorting through craft supplies lately, and doing some major destashing, by way of using up stuff I have, and getting rid of stuff I'm just not going to use.
I recently ran across this cute little vintage Vogart embroidery kit (apparently from 1975,) purchased years ago, in some optimistic moment when I though I might learn to embroider. I never did, and here it still sits, in the unopened package. Someone should use it, and embroider these cute little fruit onto something...
Just for fun, I thought I'd offer it up as a little giveaway.
I tried on two separate occasions to take a decent picture of it, but couldn't. Oh well, take my word for it, it's cute.
If you're interested, leave me a comment telling me what crafty endeavor you're working on right now.
This giveaway is open to folks in the U.S., and will end 7/31/10, at midnight central time.

  1. Oh how cute! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm currently working on sewing a couple dresses for my daughter and some sunhats(I need to finish so she can wear them while it's still Summer!)

  2. Oh, that is just my kind of giveaway! Looks like something I, myself, would have bought.

Believe it or not, I am right now teaching myself to embroider. I have an awesome book called The New Crewel, and another good one called Doodle stitching - both borrowed from my mom. So far so good, but I have no idea what I'm going to do with my sampler once it is done.

I'm also working on finishing a pair of socks for a pregnant friend, refinishing two lamps I found at the free store, painting my bedroom and moving my youngest daughter into her own room. I think that's about it, but I just ordered three patterns from oliver & s (summer sale - how could I resist?) so I will need to finish something up soon so I can start on them.
