Some of the people I really admire are avid readers of the Bible. They don't just read it a few minutes in the morning or before bed, but constantly carry it with them to take advantage of odd moments here or there to read.
I'm not really that organized. By the time I load up the two kids, and all the stuff that two little kids require, I often forget things. Like my sanity. Or my Bible.
I recently upgraded to an iPhone, and in addition to all the fun time wasting games, I was surprised to see that there were some really useful apps as well. On of them is the Olive Tree Bible Reader. It's free, allows you to read the bible in its entirety or search by book or verse. You can also highlight verses and take notes. Finally, it's free, which is pretty awesome.
I'm still partial to the experience of reading an actual book, but I'm excited that even I can now remember to take my Bible wherever I go.

My son has and enjoys this. He even uses it in church because he always forgets his bible but not his phone. But he has got in trouble a few times with people thinking he's texting in church. For me I always forget my phone so I keep a small purse size bible in my bag, it never leaves the bag so I always have it while I'm out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip - just downloaded! Ive been using google to search for scriptures when I needed one - but now it's at my fingertip.
