Stamp Carving is Fun and Only a Little Dangerous

I was browsing the clearance section at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago when I ran across a little stamp carving kit, marked way down. I'd always been curious about the process, so I decided to pick it up.

I'm hooked now. It's so much fun.

Here's a little Muno stamp I freehanded. (You may recall that I'm terrible at drawing. I also have pretty shaky hands, which may or may not be related to the amount of coffee I consume. As such, I'm pretty proud that it's even recognizable.)

Muno stamp.
Also, in case you were wondering, it turns out that the carving tools are pretty uh, sharp. I've had a few minor injuries so far...

Be looking for more stamping posts over the next couple of weeks. I've got quite a few in the works.

  1. stamp carving is so hard! I have tried it only a couple of time so far, but my bunny looked like a brick, and my squirrel looked like a monkey whos had an accident!
