I kept thinking I'd post a couple of pictures of some of the stuff I dyed this week, as soon as I got time to iron it all, and enough sunlight to stage some pretty pictures. It's still rainy here though, and I still haven't gotten around to ironing, but here are a few pictures anyway.
These are new/old stock linen napkins I got at a salvage place last year. I love to dye linen. It always turns out so pretty. The only problem is that I meant to dye 4 of them. I can dye another one later, but it will never match exactly...
A pillowcase for my sister. She and her husband are obsessed with camo colored tie dye. I'm making them a bunch of stuff for Christmas.
A sack cloth tea towel from dollar tree. These may end up being my go to generic Christmas gift this year. Cheap, cool, and functional. I like the pink and brown color combo.
Another tea towel.
This is little tote bag from Hobby Lobby. This is another cool gift idea, as these frequently go on sale for less than a buck. This effect was achieved by vat dyeing the bag pink, and then crinkle dying it brown It looks a lot like low water immersion dyeing. The colors are a little more muted than I'm used to, but I sort of like it.
