Summer Prize Picnic

AbC and 123 is one of my favorite new crafting/homeschooling/preschool learning blogs. They're holding an event called the Summer Prize Picnic, and asked for an introduction, so here's mine.

My name is Lisa. I am 27 years old, and have been married to my high school sweetie for about 9 years. I always knew I wanted to be a stay at home mom and homeschooler. I have a 4 year old son, L, and a 14 month old daughter, V.
My blog is a combination of posts about my life with little ones, our homeschooling experiences, and my crafty projects. The name of my blog, Cheerios Underfoot, describes our daily life pretty well. No matter how much I clean, we're always crunching Cheerios underfoot around here. And tripping on Legos. And finding trains in the couch cushions. And wondering what that smell is...
My favorite things to do with my kids are reading, napping (when they'll go for it, ) playing Legos, and now, homeschooling my son. We're really having fun together.
I'm a terrible cook, so my favorite picnic food is take out pizza. We also frequently have finger food picnics...apples, and cheese, and crackers, and things like that. We're pretty much landlocked here, so most of our picnics happen in the back yard.
Our plans for the summer are to spend as much time as mommy can stand outside. (It's hot here in the summer.)
I don't have any pictures of us having a picnic, but here are a few of us playing outside today.

(Incidentally, nevermind my messy hair and visible bra strap. I'm just keepin' it real...)

  11. Hi Lisa, thanks for joining in on our picnic. I'm with you, carry out is best for my picnic food, LOL! I'll be married nine years this year too, but we only have one child. I thought by now I'd have three but then again I thought the last thing I'd want to be growing up is a teacher - which I was - or a SAHM, which I am!
