Thursday check in

We spent the day at the Dallas Science and Nature Museum. Our local museum is being remodeled, so we decided to make the trip to Dallas, in spite of the longish commute.
The kids had a great time. They both loved blowing giant bubbles, and digging for "dinosaur bones," and playing in the water table. As always, my inner nerd enjoyed looking at all the fossils and rocks. It was a nice way to spend the day inside, away from the miserable heat.
I know I haven't been posting much lately. This is turning out to be a busier summer than I anticipated. In my downtime, I've been breaking in the new hammock in the backyard.
Next week I'll be helping out with VBS. (Note to self, don't forget to take some Tylenol before you go...lol) I'm also supposed to be doing a huge batch of tie dye for the dance group at our church. (Yes, we have a dance group. It's hard to explain.) I'm crocheting Christmas gifts already. I'll check back in with some pictures later.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that in spite of my absence, I'm still here. I haven't been abducted by aliens, and although I'm always threatening to have a nervous breakdown, I haven't yet. :)

  1. I didn't know there was a Dallas one, must not be on the same circuit as the Austin one because I hadn't seen it mentioned.
