After making this quilt last year out of concert t shirts, I started saving cast off shirts for future projects.
I've got quite a stack of them now, and I made this little blanket out of my old tie dye shirts. (Why do I have so many tie dye shirts? I tie dye everything, remember. )

This blanket is basically throw sized, and I'm going to put it away to give to V for Christmas this year. I'm thinking I'll also make her a matching doll blanket, since she is obsessed with swaddling her babies.
I backed the blanket with soft denim. It was finished in about a day, and I didn't have to buy anything for it. I even already had the quilt batting.
Cool, huh?
Very cool looking.
ReplyDeleteWe had a Sunday School party at church and all of the kids tie-dyed a tee shirt - such fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use all those shirts & this would be the ideal outdoor concert blanket too. Thanks for linking to Craftastic Monday!
