The month of December is going to be devoted to all things Christmas here. We started school extra early this year, in order to have an extremely laid back December.
I've been searching for fun, meaningful Christmas activities, and thought I'd share a few links early enough that you have time to make your plans and gather materials, if you decide to use any of them.

Really not all that educational but I am SO excited about one idea I came up with to do with my daughter. She is very interested in helping in the kitchen so we are going to be baking a ton of Christmas cookies. Then, one of our holiday books is "You Can Do It, Sam" which is about a little bear that makes cakes with his mom and then delivers them to all of his neighbors. I think Sam will really enjoy all the cookie baking and then reading the book and getting to deliver her own cookies to the neighbors.
ReplyDeleteHoping to make this a tradition with my girls.
I love that idea. I'm planning on having my son help me bake a little, but I'll bet he'd love to help deliver the treats too. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteI really love the Advent paper chain idea at Hubbard's Cupboard. Hubby and I spent last night redoing her verses to match our Bible so the boys will recognize the verses. I can't wait to do it! Great idea a verse, a passage or book to read, and an activity! Perfect Advent Calendar! Thanks for sharing
