Wikki Stix Review and Giveaway

I was first introduced to Wikki Stix a number of years ago, by my niece's occupational therapist.
It's a deceptively simple product: wax covered pieces of yarn. What can you do with them?
What can't you do with them?

I was recently given the opportunity to review the Rainy Day Play Kit with my kids. (It retails for $14.95.) The kit included enough sticks for me and the two kiddos to play with. Additionally, it included several large playmats, mazes and puzzles, as well as the materials to make several craft projects like a paper crown, greeting cards, and a mobile. It truly was an all inclusive kit.

Both of the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. L's favorite activities were the mazes and word searches.

V enjoyed the craftier projects, although at 2 1/2, she's a bit younger than the target age, and needed some help.

The kit came with project instructions and inspiration, so that even an "uncrafty" adult could facilitate some creative fun.

Wikki Stix are also infinitely reusable, so when you're done playing, you can pack them away for another day.

Bottom line: lots of quiet, open ended, creative play for less than $15. I totally recommend Wikki Stix.

A quick look around the Wikki Stix website reveals tons of neat packages, from party favors, to projects packs for just about every holiday, to bulk packages for school or therapy use.

Wikki Stix is also allowing me to giveaway the same set I received, the Rainy Day Play Kit. This will make a great gift for someone!

  16. I like the looks of the Rainy Day kit the best, but second place would be the Tons of Fun kit. The Travel Kit would be handy for all the driving we do every week.
