The Way Home DVD Review and Giveaway

The Way Home (Widescreen)

I was recently contacted about reviewing a new DVD, called The Way Home, starring Dean Cain and Lori Beth Edgeman.
I watch a lot of childrens' programs and PBS, but recently not much else, so I hadn't heard any buzz about the movie either way. I thought it might be a nice change to watch a movie that wasn't animated. :)
The movie follows a young family through their ordeal after their two year old goes missing. They are embraced by the local Christian community, who shows up, en masse to search for the boy in the nearby woods. Apparently the movie is based on a true story, although it was one I was unfamiliar with.
I can't tell you much more than that, without spoiling the movie, but I'll say that I did enjoy it, and it was refreshing to watch a movie where I didn't have to worry about the kids seeing something violent, or hearing profanity.
My kids are a little young to understand the movie or it's implications, but I could see it sparking some family discussions about trusting God, even during the hard times, in a family with older children.
If you'd like to find out more about the movie, go check out their FB page, or the official website for The Way Home.

I was given the opportunity to giveaway one copy of the DVD here on Cheerios Uunderfoot.
