Playing Catch Up

We ended up having to get a new computer. The replacement motherboard for the old one would have cost nearly as much as a new one, and we weren't positive that would have fixed it. We were able to transfer all of our pictures and files to the new computer without much trouble. Huge sigh of relief.
I think we've learned our lesson about backing up files. (Have you backed yours up lately?)
I spent the last couple of weeks crocheting like a maniac, since I found myself with quite a bit more free time, minus the computer. I also spent a little more time snuggling in the bed with the kiddos, rereading the same books over and over with them, and learning all the intricacies of Pokemon, which is my son's new obsession.
I'm getting ready to start planing the kids' birthday parties, which are coming up in the next few months. I look forward to doing their parties every year. We have them here at home, with typically the same crowd, 20-25 relatives. The big thing is that every year I pick whatever thing they're really into, and try to craft as much of the party as possible. Last year, It was Yo Gabba Gabba for baby V, and Transformers for L. This year it will be a princess party for V, the self proclaimed princess, and Pokemon for L.

Experiencing technical difficulties

Hi everyone. I just wanted to drop in and say that I haven't totally fallen off the face of the Earth. My computer died the day after Christmas, and this is the first time I've been able to access the web since then. (I'm on my sister's computer.) We are fixing the old computer, instead of buying a new one, because we were pretty...uh...lax about backing up files, and we have about 3000 pictures on the old computer. We're having trouble finding the part we need, but I'm hopeful that we'll have it all fixed in the next week or so. I hope you'll all hang tight until then.
