Pokemon Badge Stamps

I just thought I'd share a fun little stocking stuffer I made for L, who's still into all things Pokemon.

Hand carved Pokemon badge stamps.
I actually omitted a few of the more complicated designs, and I'm sure I'll hear about it later. LOL. What can I say, my arm got tired.

I think he'll like them anyhow.

Custom Stamps of the Kids' Drawings

V loves to draw. Her specialty right now is "monsters with belly buttons."  They're adorable. Some are tall, some have hair, a few have freckles, (like mommy, she says,) but they all have belly buttons.

I coaxed her into drawing me one the other day to use as a template, so I could make a stamp out of it. She was a little miffed with the constraints I put on her, (it needed to be small, and drawn in pencil,) so it's not her best work, but it worked. (Who knew three year olds were such fussy  little artists? )

Cute, right?

I'm thinking it might be cute to have her stamp Christmas cards and stuff with her monster this year. :)

Stamp Carving is Fun and Only a Little Dangerous

I was browsing the clearance section at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago when I ran across a little stamp carving kit, marked way down. I'd always been curious about the process, so I decided to pick it up.

I'm hooked now. It's so much fun.

Here's a little Muno stamp I freehanded. (You may recall that I'm terrible at drawing. I also have pretty shaky hands, which may or may not be related to the amount of coffee I consume. As such, I'm pretty proud that it's even recognizable.)

Also, in case you were wondering, it turns out that the carving tools are pretty uh, sharp. I've had a few minor injuries so far...

Be looking for more stamping posts over the next couple of weeks. I've got quite a few in the works.
